Seminar with Dr. Franz Ruppert of IoPT

January 20-22, 2022

Dr. Ruppert is internationally recognized for illuminating difficult topics with refreshing clarity and for his creative approaches to working with people and understanding ourselves. Now he will, in addition to his 3-day seminar with self-meetings for the participants (chosen by drawing) within IoPT, shed light on his pioneering self-developed trauma theory – Identity oriented Psychotrauma theory and therapy, as well as the latest developments within IoPT. The seminar is based on Dr Ruppert’s latest book “I want to live, love and be loved.”  (Read more here...)

A profoundly personal interview with Franz Ruppert, founder of IoPT

...using the iD method to make an important decision. Please note, he’s been doing this work for nearly 30 years. As beginners, we still need each other to resonate our deepest resources to make decisions and gain clarity. Franz can do it by himself. Nonetheless, this is a fascinating and insightful exploration into the dynamics of IoPT, which in North America we call the iD process.

The following is a presentation by our founder, Stephen Gyllenhaal: 2 Movies, 3 Children & Deep Personal Work. It outlines his own journey to the iD process using personal video footage, documentation of an iD session, and an IoPT session facilitated by Franz Ruppert, as well as a short instructional video. It is informative, emotional, and at times startling, painting a picture of how creative, nourishing and deep this work goes.

While there have been many books written by Franz Ruppert and others on the IoPT (iD) process, the clinical research is just beginning. The IoPT (iD) process clearly works, which is a version of scientific confirmation, as Dr. Ruppert points out. But at the Institute we feel it is part our mission to research in scientific terms why it works.

Here is a published article in a scientific journal beginning that journey. We are looking for people interested in furthering this exploration. We intend to work with neurobiologists, quantum physicists and others to begin to carry out examinations on how this process works. If you are interested reach out to Marti Hughes at [email protected]

In terms of development we feel that Dr. Franz Ruppert is doing that work in Germany and we look to him for further refinements in the IoPT (iD) process.

The Institute is committed to alleviating the impact of early trauma (ETs) through training practitioners in all sectors to use the iD method. No area is more important than at the start – from conception to birth. This is why we have partnered with APPPAH, creating a documentary, "The Bond" that moves beyond the film "In Utero" to focus gently and directly on expectant parents.

The quickest and most effective way to achieve this profound shift is to train the thousands of OB-GYNs, midwives, doulas and other birth practitioners in using the iD method and to make a film available that helps them educate.

We are helping sponsor three critical APPPAH events in 2022, during which "The Bond" will be screened, followed by discussions including the use of iD sessions and the IoPT method to help the unborn children flourish in utero.

APPPAH's Birth Psychology Month Summit (March 2022)

APPPAH and ISPPM Global Congress (October 2022)

APPPAH's Birth Psychology Medical Symposium (2022)

If you are interested in participating in any way that appeals to you – filmmaking; helping to organize these events with APPPAH; helping with the follow up research material; working directly as an instructor/facilitator with birth practitioners, please reach out to Paulina at [email protected]

Bringing iD strategies to the certified professionals:

First you, then others.

We have come to understand that our adherence in this work to letting the subject lead the session, being curious and respectful of the subjects internal “healing” abilities not only protects us from burnout, but actually becomes an experience that nourishes us and brings us closer to who we are, even as it is doing the same for the people we work with, both Subjects and Resonators.

This is why feel it is possible that we hold a potential key for those who have been burdened by the overwhelming role of working to help others in the challenging environment of this pandemic. Because of this we felt it worth a discussion for those interested in how our philosophy might be useful for those who work so hard in the healing professions.

iD sessions are not therapy, nor a substitute for therapy. But we are strong advocates of therapy and work closely with many therapists and other certified practitioners.
