Paving paths to self awareness

Through ID work I have met and embraced parts of myself that I hadn’t uncovered before in my many decades of pursuing healing, growth and transformation. Spaciousness and more capacity to be with emotions is only part of the reward. Being able to de-identify with my mother’s particular brokenness and martyrdom is my favorite result of the work. I already had an understanding of my identification with her, but through ID sessions I got to know my separateness in real time, at my own pace, and assimilate it as my own experience.

I went through an eye surgery that scared me and activated a lot of early life terrors while I was immersed in the Facilitator Training Program. I used Franz Rupert’s book, My Body, My Trauma, My I and even did sessions on the topic of my eyes. I went through surgery with a kind of inner aliveness. I stayed connected with myself and advocated powerfully for what I needed in a  situation that could have easily been re-traumatizing.
